GSCL Business Meeting On September 4

The 2014 GSCL Business Meeting has been scheduled for next Thursday (Sept. 5 4) at 8:00 p.m. in Kenilworth.

Representatives of the Roselle & Ewing Chess Clubs have been invited to attend.

Kenilworth Edges Hamilton, Wins GSCL Championship

On Thursday night, Kenilworth edged Hamilton 2.5-1.5 to become the 2013-14 Garden State Chess League Champions and end Hamilton's 4-year reign.

Following a draw on board 4, Jackson Hueckel beat John Chladnicek to put Kenilworth ahead and John Moldovan clinched the victory by defeating Charles Miller.

The season concludes with next week's Summit-DOCA Knights match.

West Orange 2.5 Chess Mates 1.5

On Wednesday night in Rahway, West Orange defeated Chess Mates 2.5-1.5.

Newark-McD & LVCA To Play In Branchburg

Newark-McDonald's and Lehigh Valley have agreed to play in Branchburg on Tuesday, May 6th, at 7:45 p.m.

It will be the final match of the season for both teams as Newark (+2-3=2) has already played its 9th round match and LVCA (+2-1=4) has the bye next month.
