Hamilton-DOCA Rescheduled

The upcoming Hamilton at DOCA match has been rescheduled. The new date & time is Thursday, November 8 at 7:45pm.

Oct. 30 & Nov. 1 Matches Postponed

Next week's Garden State League matches have been postponed.

Tuesday's scheduled Summit-Chess Mates match was scratched due to the expected effects from Hurricane Sandy.

Thursday's scheduled Karpovs-Rutgers match was shelved because Rutgers' planned transportation will not be available & the Karpovs cannot get 4 players to New Brunswick on short notice.

I am re-scheduling Summit-Chess Mates for Tuesday, November 13th at 8 p.m. in Rahway and shifting Karpovs-Rutgers to Thursday, December 13th at 8:15 p.m. in Kenilworth.

If the new dates aren't suitable, please contact me ASAP.

Rutgers 2.5 Hamilton 1.5

Rutgers University defeated Hamilton on Monday night 2.5-1.5. The Scarlet Knights got wins from Tom Coughlan and Will Talbot plus a draw by Robert Forney.

FM Boris Privman scored a full point for Hamilton while John Chladnicek added a half.

Next month, Rutgers plays the Kenilworth Karpovs and Hamilton visits the DOCA.

Newark-McD's vs. W. Orange Postponed

The October 30th match between Newark-McDonald's and West Orange has been postponed.

Summit 3 Kortchnois 1

Summit beat the Kenilworth Kortchnois last night 3-1, with Donnally Miller, Glen Hart and Lou Sturniolo collecting full points.

Summit's next match is Tuesday, October 30 at Chess Mates. The Kortchnois have a bye in round 2.

Opening Night Results

In last night's season openers, West Orange edged Chess Mates 2.5-1.5 and the DOCA Knights won by forfeit against Newark-McDonald's.
